House Cleaning: Or wiping the floor with John Fund
Cleaning up politics may seem like the proverbial Aegean Stables and a labor of Hercules but it is really not so bad if we keep a few things in mind. The stuff is finite, no matter how it seems – and if we each take responsibility for cleaning up our own area no one need spend an entire lifetime at such aromatically challenged labor.
Clean up your own. That is the key.
That is why we at Ruthless People have undertaken to clean up our small portion of the universe with and from John Fund AND his cohort of very bad guy buddies. He is a problem we can manage. We can manage many of his bad guy buddies, too. But that does not solve the whole problem, of course.
Us responsible types actually outnumber the irresponsible types – at least most places, we can’t be sure about the native criminal class that inhabits Congress and the farm teams of state legislatures. Most people are really honest and do the Right Thing almost all of the time. It is the 30% that don’t that raises all of our costs and powers all the ugliness. And everyone is more likely to do the Right Thing is they are called on it by those closest to them.
Therefore if everyone does as we say and cleans up their own modest corner of the universe all will be well and we will make the Right Thing the best way to succeed.
John Fund should be remembered for helping us do that. We like to think he will be grateful. Someday.
So, how can you help us accomplish this splendid and monumental task?
That bad old John Fund, the abusive creep who lies and uses his influence to try and evade justice (see ruthlesspeople.com) is again appearing on television under the sponsorship of the Wall Street Journal. So we need to smack THEM on the nose with a rolled up newspaper of public opinion. (We thought that phrase was very appropriate. I personally visioned Paul Gigot getting it right on his honker.) We are asking you to help us issue cautionary notes to everyone else involved. The list appears below.
Doing this is easy. You send them a letter on line, adding your own commentary if you like. Feel free to be creative. Below you see the very nice comment by a former Freeper now writing an expose on our Fundish Friend.
This is to inform you at the Wall Street Journal that we want John Fund to stop appearing on television under your sponsorship, writing for you, or even sweeping your floors (not that he is capable of any kind of useful activity.)
Fire the creep or we will exercise our absolute right to stop reading your pretentious rag. There are alternatives and you should remember that, no matter what you think, you are NOT all powerful but open to the informed correction of the marketplace of ethical discourse and good taste.
Enough is enough.
